To make up for my lack of updating I've uploaded a bunch of my favorite pages that I've colored for Wonder Woman. But instead of just listing who wrote and drew the pages, I decided that I would give a bit of insight into my thought process for each page. It might be something about why I chose the lighting, or the palette, or point out a bit of story telling that was done through color. Basically, I talk about things that I think a good colorist should be thinking about when coloring a comic book. Our job is to enhance the art AND the story, so if you're just enhancing the art with great rendering but neglecting storytelling with random palettes or poor color choices, in my opinion you're failing as a colorist.

There are about 20 pages in the folder, so go check them out here... [link] and read the bits below the artwork to gain a bit of insight into what goes through my head while I color a page. If you're interested in reading them in order they're titled "Wonder Woman *issue number*.*page number*".

Oh, and in case you're wondering where these ideas or thought process come from, it's a combination of instinct, thousands of pages colored, reading the script before coloring, and communicating with the artist. So if you're interested in coloring please remember the importance of enhancing the story and not just the art. :)

Hope you guys enjoy, and possibly learn something too!

This is awesome, Matt. The kind of stuff that should be required reading for anybody interested in coloring, especially people trying to pick it up. The Photoshop side of comics coloring is the easy part most times, and I don't think most people get that (I know I didn't when I started).
